Discover Ithaca is a locally based hospitality company that offers a host of unique visitor experiences. We aim to create a collection of “Life Style” hotel rooms at various locations along Ithaca’s waterfront. The Cliff Street Retreat (CSR) will act as the anchor for this hotel concept. Cliff Street Retreat will have an intimate Bar and Café that offers visitors and Ithacans a place to sit and relax while planning the next day’s excursions or simply enjoying conversations with friends. CSR will also act as a home base for couples or families that are looking for unique lodging. There will be six “Timber Loft” hotels suites. Each luxury suite will offer comfortable lodging for 2-4 guests. One of the most important and appealing elements of each suite is the inclusion of a kitchen and laundry, which long-stay vacationer’s desire.
Location-Location-Location – Cliff Street Retreat sits on a terrace overlooking Ithaca’s waterfront, downtown and colleges. This proximity to the Cayuga Waterfront and Black Diamond trails is significant for the active visitor expecting to take in all of Ithaca’s natural beauty. A trail connection from the Retreat is being designed and will solidify the synergy between the waterfront and CSR. There is more to come!
Discover Ithaca is not new to promoting exceptional experiences along the waterfront. Paddle Ithaca and its successors are Ithaca icons. They have been renting all types of unique paddle craft for over 15 years. All CRS guests will be given special access to the waterfront facilities and amenities. There is a catch phrase that sums up the concept “Bikes, Hikes, and Boats.” Outdoor recreation and promoting the visitor experience is the core mission of Discover Ithaca.
